January is Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month with Discover Michigan
During January, ski areas across the state teamed up with Michigan McDonald’s restaurants to offer an affordable introduction to the sport of skiing and snowboarding.
Discover Michigan is a program that includes a beginner lesson, ski or snowboard rental equipment, and a beginner lift area ticket for the price of $65.00.
The lesson covers basic maneuvering on skis or snowboards and includes stopping, turning, riding the lifts, and getting up from a fall.
Skiers must be at least 7 years old.
Snowboarders must be at least 10 years old.
You must arrive at least an hour early to pick up lift ticket and rentals. The lesson will begin at the time you signed up for. Late arrivals will not receive a lesson.
- No refunds for any reason.
- Lift Tickets cannot be upgraded.
- Participants must pre-register .

- To sign up, interested beginners must have a Discover Michigan Value Voucher. A voucher will be provided for your signature electronically when you register through the link below.
- This is an introduction to snow sports and our policy is only ONE Discover Michigan lesson PER PERSON. If you sign up for more than one Discover Michigan class, we will cancel all additional sign ups and provide you with a credit that can be used toward other services including private lessons.
- Ski lessons are sold out but we still have snowboard lessons available through the Discover program.
